Introduction

I have a lab/greyhound mix who thrives on excercise and socialization . . . not to mention it's a good for me to get a workout too :)

Please describe the dog(s) you own: name, breed, age, sex, etc... so we can get to know a little more about our new pack member(s)!

I have a 3yr. old male lab/greyhound mix named Spot . . . yes, funny name, obviously given by a child before he was given up TWICE. He just needed a little discipline because he is the SWEETEST and most gentle dog. Gets along well with others.

What are you looking for in a trail club? Describe what you hope to get out of the group and what can you contribute to the group.

A chance to hike new trails in DC (semi new to the area - Feb '09) while both me and Spot get to meet new people. I live right by the one of the Rock Creek Park trails so I could host a hike and chat (maybe more) event?

What does your ideal day outdoors involve? Please give the name and location of your favorite local hike or walk and describe the trail for us. Is it rocky, is there much elevation change, does it involve water, etc...

I'm pretty new to DC, but I would say mostly easy to medium difficult trials with a difficult one thrown in every once in a while. Water would be great although Spot doesn't quite know what to think of water, rocky & elevation changes are fine.

Have you and your dog(s) earned any titles or are you working towards any titles? Agility, Canine Good Citizen (CGC), working dog, pack dog, water dog, therapy dog, etc... ???

mmm no, but I would consider a program where he serves as a therapy dog for seniors??
