Introduction

I love hiking with my dog. Would like to hike with others who have friendly dogs.

Please describe the dog(s) you own: name, breed, age, sex, etc... so we can get to know a little more about our new pack member(s)!

Brutus is a very friendly Puggle (Pug-Beagle) who is big for his breed (about 50 lbs.!). Brutus will be 3 in April and loves the outdoors and other dogs. He's a great hiking dog and always stays near me when I take him off leash.

What are you looking for in a trail club? Describe what you hope to get out of the group and what can you contribute to the group.

Looking for people who like to hike on a regular basis. Like to meet like-minded people who like to stay fit and include their dog outings. I am an experienced hiker and am very familiar with many of the local hikes. I am willing to lead hikes.

What does your ideal day outdoors involve? Please give the name and location of your favorite local hike or walk and describe the trail for us. Is it rocky, is there much elevation change, does it involve water, etc...

Ideal hike starts early (before 9am). Usually hike locally on the Appalachian trail near Round Hill area off Rt. 7. I like challenging hikes that give me a work out but like to keep my hikes under 3 hours (if local) so I can have the rest of the day.

Have you and your dog(s) earned any titles or are you working towards any titles? Agility, Canine Good Citizen (CGC), working dog, pack dog, water dog, therapy dog, etc... ???

Brutus has recieved and passed obedient training. He is an excellent trail dog with a great temperment and gets along great with other dogs.
