Introduction
Meadow & I enjoy hiking and it's great exercise for both. We'd love to meet others to share the trails with.
Please describe the dog(s) you own: name, breed, age, sex, etc... so we can get to know a little more about our new pack member(s)!
Meadow is a 5 yr old female, yellow labrador retriever. Very playful, friendly, loves to be outdoors, especially swimming. Gets along well with all others, including cats. In her spare time, she is a therapy dog and visits at a local nursing home.
What are you looking for in a trail club? Describe what you hope to get out of the group and what can you contribute to the group.
Camaraderie of being with others while enjoying the benefits of great exercise for myself & Meadow. We're not very knowledgable about hiking & have much to learn. I believe our spirited personalities would be a welcome addition to the group.
What does your ideal day outdoors involve? Please give the name and location of your favorite local hike or walk and describe the trail for us. Is it rocky, is there much elevation change, does it involve water, etc...
We are very much beginners right now for easy/moderate trails. Love Sky Meadow State Park, Fountainhead Regional, and experienced a couple trails on Skyline Drive last weekend. These are all very beginner trails. We love trails with water.
Have you and your dog(s) earned any titles or are you working towards any titles? Agility, Canine Good Citizen (CGC), working dog, pack dog, water dog, therapy dog, etc... ???
She is a therapy dog, and we are members of with Pets on Wheels. I would like for her to have the CGC at some point.
