Introduction
To find other people that want to go hiking with dogs.
Please describe the dog(s) you own: name, breed, age, sex, etc... so we can get to know a little more about our new pack member(s)!
Buddy is a border collie cross -- probably with a Newfoundland. He is a rescue dog and is approximately 6 years old. He loves hiking and is friendly with both people and dogs.
What are you looking for in a trail club? Describe what you hope to get out of the group and what can you contribute to the group.
Looking for easy to strenuous hikes. Might be able to take pictures sometimes and always willing to carry cheddar cheese Goldfish.
What does your ideal day outdoors involve? Please give the name and location of your favorite local hike or walk and describe the trail for us. Is it rocky, is there much elevation change, does it involve water, etc...
Ideal hike would be anywhere from easy to strenuous. Water would be a bonus -- Buddy loves it and I enjoy it, too. Especially in the summer. Some rocks are all right, but Buddy gets nervous when they get too steep and/or large.
Have you and your dog(s) earned any titles or are you working towards any titles? Agility, Canine Good Citizen (CGC), working dog, pack dog, water dog, therapy dog, etc... ???
Nope. But Buddy does carry his own backpack.
