Introduction

We recently adopted a dog, and I am looking for opportunities to take him on new adventures.

Please describe the dog(s) you own: name, breed, age, sex, etc... so we can get to know a little more about our new pack member(s)!

Merlin - Border collie cross probably with retriever mixed in, about 2 years old, neutered male, friendly & well-behaved.

What are you looking for in a trail club? Describe what you hope to get out of the group and what can you contribute to the group.

I'm looking for a chance to get together with others who enjoy walking and hiking with their dogs. I'd like to get tips on training and hope to contribute the friendship of Merlin and myself to the group.

What does your ideal day outdoors involve? Please give the name and location of your favorite local hike or walk and describe the trail for us. Is it rocky, is there much elevation change, does it involve water, etc...

I don't have a favorite trail, but I haven't had too many opportunities to try different walks in the short time since Merlin joined our family. As far as he is concerned, if there is a chance to splash in the water, that's ideal.

Have you and your dog(s) earned any titles or are you working towards any titles? Agility, Canine Good Citizen (CGC), working dog, pack dog, water dog, therapy dog, etc... ???
