Annapolis Rock is a popular destination for hiking and climbing with a pretty, westward facing view of the Cumberland Valley. We'll follow the Appalachian Trail along a wide and well maintained section with a brief uphill climb at the beginning, rocky for some portions. The trail flattens out and maintains a level ridge line walk for the second half of the hike.

I'm driving up there in my veg-oil burning car & have room for another dog and human. Let me know if you'd like a ride especially if you live somewhere between Arlington and Myersville. Joe McGrath

A great short night hike Amy. Just what I needed after a few weeks off. I know Ernie had a great time. As always thank you for putting all of this together.
    •  Had a very enjoyable time (apart of the smashed car window :) ), and I know Jesse had a great time since he was passed out the entire drive home. Looking forward to more hikes!

Beautiful weather for a hike. Ripley enjoyed an easy one to get back into the swing of things after getting over Lyme. Rip really enjoyed making a few new buddies. Fall is officially here with the wonderful, crisp air we had on the outcrop and one of the brightest moons I've seen in a very long time. Hope to see everyone again at future hikes!
